Popular TikToker, Sea King, has criticized Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho over his silence following the recent attacks and abductions in Oyo State.
Sea King reacted in a video posted on Instagram after gunmen abducted teachers and students from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Reports later emerged that one of the kidnapped teachers, identified as Michael Oyedokun, was killed by the attackers. In the video, Sea King questioned why Igboho had remained silent despite previously promising to protect Yorubaland from bandits and insecurity.
He accused the activist of going quiet after regaining his freedom and returning to Nigeria, saying the continued killings and kidnappings show that the situation has not improved.
According to Sea King, “You vowed to eradicate the bandits and promised to lead thousands of men against insecurity. Now you’re back, but the attacks are still happening. Silence after a presidential pardon isn’t bravery, it’s politics.”His comments come months after Sunday Igboho’s name was reportedly removed from the Federal Government’s wanted list. Igboho recently returned to Nigeria after spending years outside the country following the 2021 raid on his Ibadan residence by security operatives during his Yoruba Nation campaign.
The video has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the role of activists and political figures in addressing insecurity across the Southwest.
