British police have arrested three people in connection with the death of British-Nigerian musician Mark Orabiyi, who was fatally stabbed in a residential area of London.
The 35-year-old reportedly suffered multiple stab wounds during an incident on Rayleigh Road on Friday.
Emergency services responded quickly after distress calls were made, but he was confirmed dead at the scene despite efforts to save him.Officers from the Metropolitan Police arrived with paramedics and found the victim critically injured in a garden at the property.
Authorities later confirmed his identity as Mark Orabiyi, while specialist officers continue to support his family.In a tribute, his family described him as a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend whose life had a positive impact on many people.
They praised his kindness, warmth, and musical talent, saying his memory would live on.Police said three suspects—a man and a woman in their 20s, along with another man—were arrested shortly after the incident. One suspect, a 27-year-old man, has been released on bail, while the other two were released with no further action after questioning.
Investigators also confirmed that another victim, a 20-year-old man, was injured in the attack and taken to hospital. His injuries were described as not life-threatening.
Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, who is leading the investigation, described the case as deeply tragic and urged members of the public to come forward with any information, CCTV footage, or videos that could help establish what happened.
Authorities say investigations are still ongoing as they work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
