Nollywood actress Omeche Oko has been hospitalised after surviving a serious motorbike accident while filming a movie just days before her birthday.
The actress shared a video of the incident on her Instagram page, revealing the frightening moment the accident happened on set in Lagos.According to the video, Oko was filming a scene with fellow actor Victory Michael, who was riding the motorcycle when it crashed into a pole.
The impact left Victory Michael briefly unconscious after hitting his chest, while Omeche Oko suffered a broken leg.Crew members and colleagues quickly rushed both actors to a medical facility, where they received treatment.Reflecting on the terrifying experience, Oko said she was grateful to be alive, describing life as fragile and thanking God for sparing her life.”Life is very, very fragile. It could have been a different story, but God said no. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft.
All I can say is thank you, God,” she wrote.Following the incident, several Nollywood stars and film producers flooded her comment section with messages of support, prayers, and wishes for a speedy recovery.The accident has also highlighted the risks actors often face while performing physically demanding scenes during movie productions.
