Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has shared her deep desire to have a daughter as she reflected on motherhood and life after her highly publicized breakup with billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
Speaking during a livestream session with Jarvis, the actress revealed that although she no longer has interest in getting married again, she still hopes to welcome a baby girl someday.
According to Regina, becoming a mother to two boys changed her perspective about having daughters and helped her understand the emotional bond girls often have with their families.“I have checked my mind out of getting married again, but I am yet to have a girl, and I must have a girl,” she said.
The actress explained that raising boys feels different because fathers naturally become their role models, while girls often look up to their mothers for guidance and identity.“I feel like you understand motherhood better when you have a girl.
Having boys is easy, at least you teach them to have a role model figure as a father, but for the girl child, you have to be the role model,” Regina added.
She also admitted that before becoming a mother, she never imagined herself wanting a daughter. However, after having her second son, her feelings completely changed.
“Before I had my first son, I said I would never have a girl, but after having my second son, I realised I want a girl child,” she said.
Regina further explained that she believes daughters maintain a stronger emotional connection with their families even after marriage.“A girl child remembers home.
For men, they grow up, get married, and build their family, but women will always remember home,” she added. Her comments have since sparked reactions online, with many fans praising her honesty and emotional reflection on motherhood.
